I live with my husband in Melbourne, Australia. I'm a mother of three, a teacher and grandmother.
I have been drawing ever since I can remember. I would sit with my grandfather and watch him carefully sharpen his Caran d'Ache pencils while choosing the right colours for his drawings. I was intrigued by how he sharpened his pencils, with his long skilled fingers he would carefully use the razor sharp knife to cut small strips of wood from them. In this cosy back room in the old city of Delft is where my love for colours started.
After growing up in many diverse countries it was in Australia where these acquired worldly impressions emerged providing me with a bottomless source of inspiration. During the last 25 years I have had many exhibitions in and outside Australia. My art is represented in both private and public collections all over the world.
Commission work Apart from my own collection of works I love to do commission paintings, the interaction between the client and me gives enormous pleasure and the challenge to create a piece of art precisely right for you is a special journey.
